We Treat People, Not Disorders

We treat people, not disorders. We work with people who want to improve their lives. Instead of thinking of clients as labeled disorders, we choose to think of them as individuals, couples, and families who are seeking a caring, supportive and unbiased professional who sees them as unique individuals. We believe in preventive mental healthcare, which implies the development of actions ahead of time- efforts made to anticipate events to promote human well-being. In our view, a mental health system is more efficient when it can prevent illness rather than solely depending upon finding cures.

The perception of our reality changes through the experience of psychoanalysis. Knowing our limitations, gifts and talents helps us acquire a greater consciousness of “who we are”. As we recognize our true essence, psychoanalysis liberates us from family, cultural, and social conditionings, making us responsible for ourselves and our lives.  We view psychotherapy as an art whereby the therapist has to be thoughtfully creative and alert to which therapeutic approach or what complementary technique should be applied. At the same time, we will work to de-mystify mental health issues for you and we will help you discover the connection between your emotional struggles and the accompanying presentation of physical illnesses.

Our Mission is to provide appropriate help and tools to our patients for them to be able to navigate their journey. There is a mind-body-environment connection. When you choose therapy, you are making a choice to grow. It is an eye-opening experience, a powerful agent of change, a ticket to freedom and to be able to become your true self, because you truly Awaken from Within.

If you are on Earth, you suffer.
Therefore you are not alone

Life is a permanent school. All kind of issues and problems exist in our community. They are part of life as ‘human condition.’ Society is creating ideal models to follow leaving us ‘in denial’ about life challenges and crisis, encapsulating those phases in illnesses and specific disorders. Those are symptoms that want to express that something is going on with us.

Having those symptoms does not mean you are crazy, you are weak, or there is no solution. Getting guidance and help is not being crazy either, and we are all affected by life. Engaging in this type of psychotherapy is an experience that will lead you to freedom.
